Nine Jews were injured tonight, three of them seriously, when a bomb was thrown into the principal synagogue of the Pest Jewish community during Sabbath services. The bombing was reported to have been carried by Hungarian Nazis in protest against modifications made in the anti-Jewish bill by a parliamentary commission.

(Havas News Agency said nine Jews were gravely injured and eight others received less serious injuries. The agency said that more than one bomb was thrown and that they exploded as a number of Jews were leaving the synagogue. Premier Bela Imredy expressed indignation over the incident.)
