The House, without much opposition, today appropriated $100,000 to continue until next Jan. 1 the special committee to investigate un-American activities, headed by Martin Dies of Texas. The resolution was unanimously approved yesterday by the Rules Committee. The Dies Committee’s previous five-month investigation had been carried on under a $25,000 appropriation, the smallness of which, Mr. Dies contended, had hampered its work.
