Jewish Lawyers in Rumanian Town Barred for 5 Years

The Piatra-Neamt Bar Association has notified Jewish lawyers whose citizenship has been recognized after the current revision that they will not be re-admitted to practice for five years, the waiting period normally required for naturalization, it was learned today. Dr. Wilhelm Filderman, president of the dissolved Union of Rumanian Jews, has protested to Minorities Commissioner Silviu Dragomir. The Rumanian Union of War Invalids, Widows and Orphans has petitioned the Cabinet to restore cancelled tobacconist licenses to Jewish war invalids, widows and orphans.
