Sale of books and pamphlets by the German-American Bund is being investigated by Commissioner of Investigation William B. Herlands to ascertain whether sales and business taxes have been paid to the city, it was learned today. Fritz Kuhn, national leader, and other Bund officials have been ordered brought in to testify. James Wheeler-Hill, national secretary, has already been questioned but has failed to give satisfactory replies, it was learned.
