Il Tevere, anti-Semitic Fascist newspaper, today attacked an Italian film distributing company for distributing a picture based on the life of Columbus produced in Spain by Abel Gance. The film, the paper asserted, is an “example of the nefarious propaganda of international Jewry aimed at influencing the world by showing Columbus as a converted Jew.”
