Unanimous Report on British Guiana Turned in by U.S. Experts Group

Members of the American commission that surveys refugee settlement possibilities in British Guiana at the invitation of the British Government have submitted a unanimous report to the President’s Advisory Committee on Refugees, it was revealed here today by the two British experts attached to the commission.

Sir Crawford Douglas Jones and Sir Geoffrey Evans, who returned from New York on the liner Samaria, said the report has been forwarded to Colonial Secretary Malcolm Mac-Donald and will be examined by Lord Hailey’s Refugee Coordination Committee. They declare the commission has covered more than 15,000 miles by sea, air, on horseback and on foot.
