The Belgian Medical Association moved today to ban foreigners from the practice of medicine in Belgium. Acting on behalf of the association’s 48 branches, the executive committee issued a statement demanding that the right to practice medicine be reserved for Belgians and naturalized Belgians having Belgian diplomas. The committee cited the danger of an alien invasion of the profession and similar restrictions in neighboring countries.
