Students of the Jewish Technical College at Haifa today began a sit-down strike as part of the policy of Jewish non-cooperation with the British Government.

The Jewish press virulently attacked the White Paper today, making the most of recent opposition charges in the House of Commons. Davar, Labor daily, demanded that Jews carry on the struggle not only in Palestine but in the rest of the world. The Revisionist paper, Hamashkif, called for creation of a Jewish supreme committee, paralleling the Arab Supreme Committee, which would organize and unify resistance.

The Zionist Organization decided to demand replacement of Jerusalem’s Arab mayor by a Jew on group that Jews have a majority in the city.
