Lithuanian Jews Seek Light on Economic Position

A delegation of Jewish leaders today called upon Premier General Jonas Cernius and other ministers to discuss the Jewish economic situation in the light of the Government’s new economic policy. Political and juridical Jewish problems were also discussed.

The Government publishing house, Spaudos Fondas, announced today its decision to publish a Lithuanian edition of the works of Sholem Aleichem, famed Jewish humorist who died in New York in 1916. Several Lithuanian Jewish writers have been approached with regard to translation.
