Myron C. Taylor Honored for His Efforts in Behalf of Refugees

Myron C. Taylor, American vice-chairman of the Intergovernmental Committee on Refugees, has been selected by an interfaith committee of 60 members to receive the 1939 medal for Promotion of Better Understanding between Christian and Jew in America, awarded annually by The American Hebrew magazine, it was announced today by Joseph C. Biben, editor and publisher of the weekly.

The award, which will be made during the celebration of The American Hebrew’s 60th anniversary in December, is accompanied with the following citation: “Because of his completely unselfish effort to find havens for Christian and Jewish refugees from Nazi persecution and because this effort so dramatized the value of Christian-Jewish cooperation that a greater bond was created between Christian and Jew in America.”
