The anti-Semitic propaganda of Sir Oswald Mosley, British Fascist leader, is denounced as “merely a smokescreen for other objectives” in the current issue of The Guardian, Church of England weekly. “We deplore the unchristian and uncharitable spirit,” the paper adds, “which would stir up ill-will against the Jews as such at any time and most when they are suffering the bitterest misfortunes and the cruellest persecution in their sad history.”
