Prof. Selig Brodetsky, head of the Jewish Agency’s political department in London, declared today that the Jews, to whom the minority guarantie of 1919 meant nothing, had the right to expect effective safeguarding of the Jewish people after the present war.
Stressing the difficulties of the general political situation, Prof. Brodetsky a London regional conference of the British Zionist Federation that it would be premat to define the attitude of the Zionists at the end of the war.
Palestine Jews, like Jews the world over, are prepared to fight on the side of justice, he said. “The war has interrupted all political controversy irrelevant to the war. One cannot imagine the Government taking steps at a time when it is obvious that there cannot be a political controversy regarding a matter of this kind.”
