WILNO, Lithuania (Nov. 16)
A Lithuanian Jewish committee to facilitate emigration of refugees to America, Palestine and elsewhere has been established here.
A delegation representing 1,300 workers, mostly Jews, has applied to the Soviet Legation for permission to enter Russia. The Legation promised to communicate the request to Moscow. The group, most of whom were seeking work in the Russian interior, had been turned back at the frontier last week when it was closed following a period during which free transit had been permitted from the Wilno district.
