Tatarescu Pledges Fair Treatment to Minorities in Rumania

premier Georg Tatarescu, speaking at Constanza, has reaffirmed that the Rumanian Government was sufficiently strong to assure fair treatment to all minorities, enabling them to maintain their languages, religions and cultures. At the same time, the official gazette published a decree requiring all religious communities to hold religious services on national and Royal family holidays.

Finance Minister Constantinescu has telegraphed thanks to a prominent membe of the Jewish community for a large subscription to the Rumanian defense fund. In the town of Falticeni, Mayor Neculcea granted subsidies from his personal funds for 50 poor Jews and also donated clothing to 50 poor Jewish school children.
