The local Polish daily, Dziennik Zwiazkowy, in an editorial, expressed the hope for “understanding and a solution of the Jewish problem. ” It said this could be brought about if “the Jews, who demand a change of attitude on the part of the Poles, will themselves undergo such changes as Poles have long since asked of them.”
“Mutual concessions, patience and tolerance may lead to friendly cooperation and conviviality,” the editorial concluded.
