The British Government has not changed its attitude on the question of special Jewish formations in the army, War Secretary Anthony Eden revealed today in a written reply to a question by Col. Josiah Wedgwood, Laborite M.P. “In the opinion of His Majesty’s Government,” Eden said, “the raising of separate Jewish formations would present great difficulties and it would be of much more advantage if Jews who are anxious to serve would enlist in His Majesty’s forces in the ordinary way.”
