There were no refugees on the Arandora Star when it was torpedoed off the Irish Coast last Tuesday while transporting German and Italian internees to Canada, Commons was told today by Minister of Shipping Ronald H. Cross.

All the Germans on board, Cross said in reply to a query by Laborite George Strauss, were Nazi sympathizers. None was in the B or C category of enemy aliens or came to England as refugees, he added.

Cross promised that in the future every effort would be made to separate pro-Nazi and anti-Nazi aliens.
