The Zionist Review, organ of the British Zionist Federation, today denied that the Jewish Agency had conducted any official negotiations with the New Zionist Organization or that it had made any commitments to the N.Z.O. The Review said editorially: “It can be taken as authoritative that there have been no official negotiations between the Agency and the Revisionists and nothing has been promised by the Jewish Agency.”

According to the editorial, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Agency, agreed to meet Robert Briscoe, Irish -Jewish parliamentarian, for a private talk during which Briscoe was informed of what the Agency had done to secure maximum Jewish participation in the war effort “It was made clear to him,” the Zionist organ said, ” that within the framework of the Jewish Agency s efforts every section of the Jewish population could take part. The meeting was private; no promises or commitments were made. Now the Revision lists seek to construct out of the gesture of politeness an official commitment.”
