French industries in German-occupied France, acting under Nazi pressure to increase their production of war materials, are inviting Jewish technicians formerly employed in these plants to return and resume work, it was learned here today.
A Jewish technician, at present a refugee in London, has received a letter from Paris via Lisbon, from an industrial enterprise for which he previously worked inviting him to return to Paris. While employed by that concern this technician prepared materials for a secret industrial process. The letter said that conditions were “not bad” and that the situation was calm. It assured the recipient that he would lack nothing and encounter no difficulties if he returned.
