Six hundred Jewish lawyers have been forced to give up their practices as a result of the newly-promulgated Rumanian anti-Jewish legislation, the German wireless reported today.

Eight hundred other Jewish lawyers have submitted applications for permission to continue their practice under the clause exempting Jews who fought in Rumanian armed forces or who are descendants of front fighters, the wireless reported. These applications are being examined at present by Bucharest authorities.
