Great interest in Zionism and sympathy for the difficulties besetting Jews were expressed today by Alcides Arguedas Bolivian Minister of Agriculture and Immigration, and Anthony Ashton British Charge d’Affaires here.
The statements were made when the officials were visited successively by a delegation headed by Dr. A.S. Juris representative of the World Jewish Congress, which informed them about developments in Palestine and the activities of the Congress.
The Bolivian Minister said his country, which could accept only agricultural immigrants, favored equal rights for world Jewry and supported Jewish claims in Palestine.
