New Group to Defend Democracy Formed

Raymond Gram Swing, news commentator, and C.D. Jackson, vice-president of Time, Inc., today accepted the leadership of the Council for Democracy, a newly-formed national group designed to “define and revitalize the concept of democracy for the American people.” The Council will work in collaboration with many existing pro-democracy groups.
