Internment of Jewish Refugees in France Begins

Internment of Jewish refugees of Polish, German, Austrian and Czech nationality has started in the Toulouse region of unoccupied France under the decree for internment of foreign Jews, it was disclosed today. So far a few hundred refugees have been affected.

Foreigners are being evacuated from the Vichy region. The offices of the, OSE, Jewish health protection society, which celebrated its 25th anniversary today, were moved to Montpellier and the offices of the ORT, Jewish vocational retraining organization, were shifted to Marseille.
