The Jewish economic structure in Europe will undergo a complete change after the war, Lion Feuchtwanger, noted German-Jewish novelist, declared at a luncheon yesterday sponsored by the Labor and Peoples ORT in the Fifth Avenue Hotel.

“Millions of Jews in Europe will be forced to change their occupations during and after this war,” he said. “The task of ORT to retrain former Jewish merchants and professionals into Jewish workers in industry and agriculture is therefore of the utmost urgency.” Another speaker was Dr. David Lvovitch, vice-president of the World ORT Union, who dwelt on the present economic situation of the Jews in Europe.
