Tracediate raising of a large Jewish army in Palestine was urged upon the British Government last night by Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver, addressing the 20th anniversary celebration of the Palestine Foundation Fund (Keren Hayesod) at the Hotel Roosevelt.
Other speakers included Dr. Kurt Blumenfeld, Jerusalem director of the Keren Eayesod; Louis Lipsky, American chairman, and Rabbi Irving Miller, who presided. The meeting sent a message of greetings and encouragement to Palestine Jewry.
