The 70th birthday of Prof. Chaim Tschernowitz, known as “Rav Zair,” who is now in the United States, was celebrated today with a gathering at the home of his son-in-law, Abraham Granovsky. Among those who paid tribute to him were his daughter, Dr. Yehuda Kaufmann and Prof. David Yellin, who expressed the hope that he would be able to come to Palestine.
