U.p.a. Gives $25,000 for Aid to ‘old Yishuv’

The United Palestine Appeal has allocated $25,000 to be used for relief purposes in the Old Yishuv at the discretion of Chief Rabbi Isaac Hersog, it was announced today by Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, UPA Chairman. Rabbi Herzog will distribute the funds in Jerusalem and elsewhere to alleviate the effects of unemployment due to the war and other conditions.
