Finance Minister J. H. Hofmeyr declared at a dinner last night that “if anti-Semitism ever became the declared policy of South Africa, I would hang my head in unmitigated shame.”

Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog of Palestine has arrived here en route to Jerusalem from the United States.
