Propaganda books and literature of the Axis powers, Germany, Japan and Italy, have been removed from the library of the University of Miami, Dr. Jay Pearson, dean of administration, announced.

Although the volumes will not be destroyed, said Dr. Pearson and William J. Harkins, head librarian, they will be put away for use only of advanced students doing research in the study of propaganda methods, for those courses as they may study, such as history, economics and sociology.

Until this week, the books were listed in the general card catalogue, not as “propaganda” but under the headings “German” and “Germany” with no indications that they were not available to all students.
