Police authorities in Rumania were ordered to arrest and bring to trial before a military court any Jew whose passport does not carry a stamp from the military authorities indicating that he has been registered for forced labor service, reports reaching here today stated. All Jewish males in Rumania aged between 18 and 50 must report for forced labor, the report added.
General Antonescu, Rumanian Premier, in an interview with the correspondent of the German official news agency, broadcast over the Bucharest radio today, stated that he has taken measures “against the disruptive Jewish elements,” especially in the regained provinces of Bukovina and Bessarabia.
