The Vaad Leumi today adopted a resolution deploring the recent acts of terrorism in Palestine, which have occurred during the last few days.

Among the terroristic acts was the explosion of a harmless bomb in the court yard of Dr. Ernst Simons in Jerusalem, allegedly as a result of his speech under the auspices of the B’rith Shalom at the Ben Shemen youth settlement, where he urged a reconciliation between Jews and Arabs. Another bomb thrown into the bedroom of Mordechai Perlin, head of the Herzlia Defense Committee, exploded smashing windows and furniture, although his family miraculously escaped injuries. Simultaneously at the colony of Nathania a Revisionist laborer, Arieh Menachem, 24, was mysteriously murdered by a shot through his window while he was asleep in his hut.

The central committee of the New Zionist Organization, in a statement today, officially denies any connection with the terrorism. “These acts are either the work of criminals or provocateurs attempting to discredit our movement,” the statement declares.
