Rabbinical and lay leaders of Jewish congregations, sisterhoods and men’s clubs throughout the country have been invited to a Conference for the Preservation of Judaism, called by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America for October 19, to mobilize the spiritual and cultural leaders of American Jewry in a program dedicated to the preservation of the Jewish traditions and culture.

The Conference has been called to consider the responsibilities which devolve on American Jewry in view of the effects of the war on Jewish institutions abroad. The call is signed by Dr. Louis Finkelstein, President of the Jewish Theological Seminary, Henry S. Hendricks, Secretary of the Seminary Board of Directors, Dr. Max Arzt, Director of the Seminary’s Field Service and Activities, Rabbi Leon S. Lang, President of the Rabbinical Assembly, and Mrs. Frieda Schiff Warburg, Go-Chairman of the Conference Committee.
