Max Cohen, Founder of “american Hebrew,” Dead

Funeral services were held today in the Riverside Memorial Chapel, New York, for Max Cohen, 88, one of the founders of the American Hebrew, of the Y.M.H.A., and of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Mr. Cohen, a retired lawyer, died yesterday at his home in New York after an illness of several years. He was born in New York City and is survived by a widow, two daughters and a son.
