The Agudas Israel of America has received from the Central Agudas Israel of London an appeal in the name of English Jewry, requesting a supply of several thousand Siddurim and Chumoshim. On account of the war, the importation of prayer books to England from European countries has ceased and the English Jews are left without holy books, the message says.

Acting on this appeal, the Agudah office in New York today issued a call to the Jews of America to donate prayer books which the Agudah will ship to London for distribution.
