Britain Spends $3,430,000 to Aid Refugees

The sum of £857,526, approximately $3,430,000, was expended by the British Government for the care of refugees from January, 1940, to the end of October, 1941, it was announced today in Commons, by Herbert Morrisson. Home Secretary. Of this total £653,178 was paid to the Committee for Jewish refugees.
