Herbert Allman, Honorary President of the National Farm School near Philadelphia and for eleven years president of the institution, fell to his death yesterday from the ninth floor of a hotel here. Mr. Allman would have been 79 years old on January 30.

A leader in Philadelphia communal activities, Mr. Allman assumed the presidency of the National Farm School in 1926 and continued as its head until 1937 when ill health forced him to resign. He was then elected Honorary President. Recently, it was reported, he had been despondent over the death, a year ago, of his wife. The Atlantic City coroner termed the death a suicide.
