Considering the Jewish problem throughout Croatia “solved” the Government of the Nazi-puppet state, after completing the “Aryanization” of practically all Jewish enterprises and the deportation of all able-bodied Jews to forced labor has decided to dissolve the offices which it set up for dealing with Jewish affairs and to transfer the functions of these offices to the Ministries of Commerce, Finance and Interior.

This is reported today in the Donau Zeitung, Nazi organ for the Balkan states, which reached here today. The paper states that the State Directorate in Croatia which supervised the confiscation of Jewish property and other anti-Jewish economic measures has been liquidated. It functions have been taken over by the Ministry of Finance. Similarly the Racial Office which handled the preparation of anti-Jewish regulators has been dissolved and its functions transferred to the Ministry of Interior.

A decree published in the Croatian official gazette, reaching here today, confirms the report of the Nazi paper. The decree empowers the Minister of Interior to deal with all Jewish political and social problems. Economic problems are left to the discretion of the Ministry of Commerce in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance.
