Red Cross Designates Today As “blood Donor Day” for Women’s League for Palestine

The American Red Cross has designated Wednesday, April 29 as Women’s League for Palestine Blood Donor Day, it was announced here today by the League which has mobilized its members for participation in every phase of civilian defense.

The announcement said that the League members have purchased War Bonds totalling $200,000, and presented the British-American Ambulance Corps with the first desert type ambulance built in the United States. A sum of $85,000 has been sent by the League to Palestine during the year for the completion of the third home and training schools for refugee girls maintained by the League in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa.
