The first four shipments of a total of $50,000 worth of drugs, medical supplies, vitamins and concentrated food products sent by the Joint Distribution Committee to Polish refugees in Russia have arrived in Kuibyshev, it was learned today in a cable received by the Committee from Stanislaw Kot, Polish Ambassador to Russia.

“Permit me to thank you for your gifts which have arrived and been distributed right away to the most needy, who asked me to express to you their gratitude,” the cable stated. Two of the shipments, containing vaccines, were flown to Russia. The other two were carried on Russian boats, freight-and-duty free. Additional consignments are being shipped by the JDC currently.
