Sanctions against Jewish workers found guilty of “slacking” in the Palestine war effort will be introduced by the Histadruth, the Jewish Labor Federation of Palestine, it was announced today by H. Frumkin, a leader of the group, addressing the Council of the Histadruth now meeting in the colony of Petach-Tikvah.

The announcement was made while planes were circling above Jerusalem and British military units and contingents of the Allied arm as serving in the Middle East paraded through the main streets of Jerusalem, celebrating “Soldier’s Day.” The Jewish Blue-White flag and the colors of the United Nations flew from the windows of many houses while the marching troops were cheered by large crowds assembled in the streets.
