Palestine Will Observe “day for Polish Jewry” Today

A “Day for Polish Jewry” to demonstrate the Yishuv’s solidarity and sympathy with the Jews of Nazi-held Poland and to express hope for a better future, has been proclaimed for tomorrow, it was announced here today.

Rallies will be held throughout Palestine with leaders of Polish Jewry and of the Yishuv participating. A minute of silence will be observed at twelve noon in accordance with the plea issued by the Polish Social Aid in London, a semi-official organization headed by Mme. Sikorska. Jewish leaders here today expressed the hope that world Jewry will join in the expression of protests and commemoration tomorrow.
