A letter from Haile Selassie, Emperor of Ethiopia, expressing his appreciation for the congratulations sent him by the Jewish National Council of Palestine on the occasion of the liberation of his country from the Italians, was received here today. The message, written in Selassie’s own hand, expresses his belief that “the Almighty will doubtless bring victory to Britain and the Allies and thus liberate the unfortunate nations suffering under the Nazi yoke.”
