Senator Edwin C. Johnson, Democrat of Colorado, has added his plea for the immediate formation of a Jewish Army in a recorded address now being broadcast by radio stations throughout the country, it was announced here today.
“I plead with the Supreme Command of the United Nations to authorize and arm a Jewish Army in the Near East without further delay,” Senator Johnson declares. “Suez must not become another Singapore, and the Holy City of Jerusalem must not become another Lidice.”
