$13,000,000 Spent by Hadassah for Health Work in Palestine Between Two Wars

An advance report on the second wartime convention of Hadassah, which will convene at the Hotel Pennsylvania in this city from Oct. 14 to Oct. 18, released here today, discloses that the organization has spent more than $13,000,000 for health work in Palestine “between two wars,” from June 1918 to October 1942. The report also included an item of $130,000 for war emergency drugs, food, clothing and equipment dispatched in fifteen different vessels during the past year. “Despite the exigencies of wartime transportation, all shipments with the exception of one which was a bombing casualty, have so far reached their destination,” it stated.
