The Institute for Religious studies, a graduate school conducted by Catholic, Jewish and Protestant scholars, opened today at the Jewish Theological Seminary. This institute has been established by a gift from Lucius N. Littauer to enable ministers of all faiths to study under the guidance of eminent theologians of the various denominations.

The general trend of the lectures and seminar discussions is to inculcate a sense of responsibility as they bring together the various approaches to the problem of postwar reconstruction of particular interest to religious leaders and teachers.
