Property of Alien Jews Can Be Confiscated, Rumanian Supreme Court Rules

“Not nationality but race is decisive” in the expropriation of Jewish property in Rumania, according to a decision by that country’s Supreme Court, as broadcast by the Bucharest radio today, The broadcaster said the decision was of fundamental importance for all stops taken by the Rumanians toward expropriation.

Official data released by Germany, received here today, establishes that 47,433 Jews died in the Warsaw ghetto during 1941, constituting about ten percent of the entire Jewish population in the ghetto at that time.
