The Berlin radio today reported from Shanghai that all Jews there have been ordered by the Japanese authorities to have their identification papers stamped with the letter “J”.

The measure was taken after an order issued last week instructing the Jewish owners of automobiles in Shanghai to display a special marker on their cars which would indicate that the vehicles belong to Jews.
