Metropolitan Detroit’s War Chest went over the top in its $5,800,000 drive and it is expected that the goal will be exceeded by half a million by the time all contributions are reported, it was announced at a Victory Dinner last night.

Isidore Sobeloff, executive director of the Jewish Welfare Federation and the Allied Jewish campaign, announced that while there will be no Allied Jewish Campaign in the Spring, since all Jewish causes are provided for in the War Chest – the local, national and overseas agencies – will receive 100 percent of the funds they are scheduled to get, Mr. Sobeloff stated.
