Costa Rican President Suggests Joint Action to Aid Persecuted Jews

Joint action by the countries of Central America to protest against the Nazi annihilation of the Jews in Europe and to devise means of aiding the Jews was suggested today by the President of Costa Rica.

At the same time the President issued a formal protest, stating: “I declare with vehemence my most angry protest in my own name and that of the government and people of Costa Rica and offer to do whatever is in my power to help these new victims of the Nazis.”
