The acceptance by U.S. Senator Edwin C. Johnson of Colorado of the national chairmanship of the Committee for a Jewish Army was announced last night by the New York headquarters of the Committee.

Senator Johnson, in a statement to the press, said: “I refuse to believe that this world has grown so callous, so inured to the diabolical actions of the Nazi murderers that it can sit back and do nothing while four million human beings in Europe face the same fate that two million of their brethren have already experienced.”
